I've been teaching writing and performance workshops since 1993. I love the creative process, and my goal is to help you take the next step in your work.
The Muse Likes a Deadline
Small writing class with Charlie Varon
An 8-week class
2.5 hours each week via Zoom. Each student will have 1/2 hour each class to read or perform new work and get my feedback.
Dates & Time TBA
Will set schedule (likely start date May or June 2022) once I have 5 students lined up.
Expectations
The class is designed to give you a weekly deadline that will help you build momentum on your work. So each student is expected to attend every session, and bring new writing each session.
Genre
You can write in any genre you like (except poetry), and there is no class performance.

Fee
$550 by PayPal or check (note that there are no refunds for this class)
To apply:
Send me an email with the following:
(1) what project you plan to work on & what stage it's at now
(2) goal: where you'd like to be at the end of the 8 weeks, and whom you'd like to share your work with at that point
(3) a commitment to attend every class and be on time
(4) a commitment to write at least 500 words per week and email me your new writing the day before class (so I can put it up on the screen during class)
